The suspension
The suspension of the Corolla left some room for improvement. I'm not going to turn it in to a circuit monster, so no 100 way adjustable coil over kits for me as I'll probably never really use it. I'm going for the basics: A good set of stiffer and lower springs and a good set of shock absorbers all around.
That should around be enough to give some drastic improvements in handling and the stance should dramatically improve.

The entire suspension had to be removed from the car before we could start to do anything. But it was a bit reluctant to let the car go.

Because I wanted all the suspension parts to be sandblasted and powder coated, all the wheel bearings
and rubber bushings would have to be removed from the different
parts.

KONI used to fabricate shocks for these cars. But these are shocks that need to be inserted in the housing of the original shocks. So these will have to be adapted to make them ready to receive the KONI inserts.
I'll explain how this works on this page.
